  “What’s wrong mom?” Mica asked.

  Ang. was the one who answered. “Look I’m going to put it to you strait.” She eyed Mica like she was worried what his reaction would be to what we were about to hear.

  “Just say it already!” I almost yelled.

  “Try to keep your voice down.” Angelic said. “But early this morning before your mom and cousin were up...,” She hesitated after she said she was going to give it to us strait, then it came out in a gush of words, quickly. “Lavon showed up here and I think he was wanting to clue in to your mother who we really were. He was ranting on about he wasn’t going to hurt you, even though he is a daywalker. He was almost yelling it. And as we know daywalker’s are pretty much pure evil. Mabe ocassionally you might find one that isn’t pure evil, but it’s not Lavon!”

  I interrupted her. “He did what?” I asked.

  “Don’t worry Rave. We were able to keep him outside, I don’t think anyone heard what he was saying. But the thing is....., well his friends were here with him along with Krystal!” She looked at Mica as she said that last part.

  I could see the slightest bit of pain pass through his expression. The stiffness of his body as Angelic’s words hit him before I understood.

  Finally I understood. “She’s been turned?” I asked. It was obveious.

  “Yes, and she looked a little blood thirsty. As in she wanted your head on a plate Raven.” She looked at me, but I seen that their was no hint of her being worried about her getting to me.

  I looked back to Mica and seen that his face was well composed now. “Well we knew that it would happen. I could smell that she was marked at the after party.” He turned to look at me. “I’m glad we stayed at the condo lastnight. It could have been your dark dream comming true!”

  Heaven and Angelic just looked at each other. “What are you talking about?” Heaven asked.

  “I had a dream the other night about Lavon comming here to try and expose who everyone was to my mom and my cousin....., Well their is more to it, but I’m not going to get into that right now. “I said then motioned my head to the left of me where my mom was headed in our direction with a smile on her face. So she must not know, about Lavon even stopping by. Thankfully.

  “Hey Raven.” My mom said. She is almost to me now. “I heard that you get to go to out of the country.”

  I looked at Heaven, confused. What on earth is my mom talking about.

  “That’s what I was getting ready to tell her.” Heaven said, then looked at me. “We have a meeting with the director and your going with all of us. Your mom and cousin are leaving this evening. We are supposed to leave tomorrow.”

  “Oh! Okay.” I can’t believe that is all I can say to that. Lie or no lie.”

  “Are you excited Raven?” Mom asked me a little surprised that I wasn’t jumping for joy at the news.

  “Of course. I can’t wait. I’m just starting to get used to all this bieng around famous people, I guess it’s hard to shock me anymore.” I smiled and looked to Mica and he grabbed my hand. I acted extremely happy. I think that I did a prettygood job if you ask me.

  “Great. Well are you going to come back in the house and spend some time with us before we go?”

  “Yes. I need to talk to Ang. and Mica for a second then I’ll be in.”

  “See you soon.” She said a bit sarcastic for my taste. She must definately be sour that I left and didn’t come back until today.

  “So what was that about?” I asked as soon as my mom was out of hearing range.

  “I told your mom that we have to go to a meeting out of the country with the director of the Dark Love movie and that you were going with us. So they are going to leave this evening. I think it would be safer for them if they were not here right now with Lavon trying to expose who we really are. It would not be good for them to know.” Heaven said to me.

  “Your right there my mom would litterally have a heart attack if she knew, or think that we were all crazy. But thank you for having her in the dark. This is just not a world that she needs to be around.” I said hugging my soon to be mother in law.

  “Your welcome Raven.” She said hugging me back.

  I turned to Mica. “So are you comming in with me?” I asked him.

  “I’ll be in a second, okay.”

  “Okay.” I turned to walk into the house, but he pulled me closely to him, in front of Angelic and his mom and kissed my lips until he had my heart overreacting.

  Then he smiled. I turned and walked into the house smiling with pleasure. Once I was in the livingroom with mom and Lila, all smiles were off. I don’t know where the rest of the family were at.

  “Raven can I ask you something without you getting all hyper on me?”

  “Aunt Chelsy please don’t.” Lila pleaded. And that let me know what was comming.

  She ignored Lila. “Raven why does he alway’s feel the need to touch you every moment of the day? Especially in front of people.”

  “Mom! It is not every minute of the day. We love each other were happy and we just show it. I’m not with Lavon anymore. Don’t I deserve this? This man that loves me for me and never hurts me.” I paused trying not to get mad. “Mom I know you don’t like things like that, but that’s just how we are. We show are love for one another and were not ashamed of it!”

  “Your right, I’m sorry. Mica does seem to be a great man. Him and his family seem to be very close. I observed. Well congradulations on everything. I am happy for you Rave.”

  “Thanks mom.” She gave me a hug.

  When the evening finally came I said goodbye to my mom and Lila and told them that I loved them and would miss them as we dropped them off at the bus station to catch their bus back to Maine. I do understand my mom and I love her very much...., I’m really going to miss her, no matter what. We do have a strange mother daughter relationship though.

  When we pulled back up in the driveway. I decided that I wanted to talk to Mica before we went into the house.

  “Mica.” I said starring into his eye’s. “I want to ask you about your expression earlier today when you found out that Krystal had been changed. Please be honest with me!”

  He bent his head down to look at his hand that was holding mine, it felt like he was holding it even tighter than before. Like he’s afraid that his answer might scare me off, but he know’s me better than that. I just want him to be honest.

  “Sure. Ask me anything and I swear that I will be honest with you.”

  “I was actually wondering exactly why your expression showed that you were pained? I mean..., I guess what I am really asking is.......,” I trailed off not really sure how to ask him my question. I felt like I already knew the answer, but I needed to hear it from him if it is true.

  “Raven. I did date Krystal for a while. It was a little before we started filming the first Dark Love movie, that’s when we met at first, but I found out quickly that we weren’t meant to be. Our dating caused alot of trouble for me and now I’m paying the consequence for it.” He looked at me meaningfully. “We really need to get inside and discuss you and me with the other’s. Just know Raven that their is no one for me but you. I promise.”

  “I know. Same applies here. But I guess we do need to go in, so we can finish this later. Thanks for being honest.” He looked up at me with a half smile on his face. He got out of the car to come and open my door for me.

  When we were in the house, everyone gathered in the livingroom to decide when I was going to have my transformation. What with everything going on they were a little worried. Mica wants me to be turned now, but is still worried that something might happen during the process.

  During my transformation, it will be a vulnerable time for me. If Lavon or any of his friends should come for me, their would be nothing I could do. I know that Mica or someone w
ould be watching over me, during the process, but still when it comes to this life you never know what could happen. Mica thinks that Lavon would try and kill me, but I know better than that. Even though he is evil and he put his hands on me while he was human, he loves me and wants me too much to kill me. Now his friends I’m not so sure about, I know nothing about them and for krystal I believe she would be more than happy to kill me. I have what she wants...., Mica.

  Charles say’s that he has not seen anything happening during my transformation, but they are all being percautious. They have decided to wait a couple of weeks before, to make sure it is more or less safe for me to be changed.

  “Mica do you think that we could stay at the condo for a couple of day’s?”

  “We just got back from there. Wouldn’t you like to stay here a day or so and then go back there?” He looked at me and I thought that I seen something more than him wanting to spend some time with his family. I swear I think that he is keeping another secret from me, and I think that I will find out what it is the wrong way and it is not going to work out very nicely with me. I hate when secrets are kept from me especially when the person keeping the secret is my soul mate, the one that I love more than anything, the one who I am sacrificing my human life for so that I can be with him.

  But I agreed. “Sure that will be fine.”

  “Would you like to take a walk out back? We can sit under our tree.” He asked me smiling.

  “That would be great. Just let me get my jacket.” It’s the end of October and it’s a little cold outside, but of course Mica doesn’t need to wear anything. He’s already cold, it doesn’t affect him or his family, but they once said that I wouldn’t be able to imagine the way the heat feels on their cold skin.

  We walked to our tree, the one where we sat the very first time that I ever came to this house. Mica held me in his cold arms and we talked and I could forget the worries of the day. This is what I liked about our relationship. We may want to show our love phyisically, but we don’t have to. We can just sit and talk for hours and be the best of friends ever plus the best soulmates ever.

  Day’s have passed and we still havn’t heard anything from Lavon or his crew. Everyone has been wondering what’s gonna go on with the last Dark Love movie with Krystal being a daywalker and the fact that she is mad, blood thirsty. We are still going to Paris when the time comes for my family to film the movie, that’s when I’m sure that we will find out if Krystal will be able to work or not. Knowing her she will just so she can still be close to Mica, even though she is tied to her mate in way’s that would seem impossible to any other human.

  Angelic, Liza and I have been out a few times. We’ve been going out shopping. They insist on me having more clothes than is really needed, but every time that we have went out we have either been with my guards or Carter, Vincent, and Mica. Life has been hectic. Mica doesn’t like to let me out of his sight. It’s not a bad thing I guess. I have gotten to be more closer to the guy’s of our family, Carter and Vincent. Were closer as a family than I thought could be possible since we were already close.

  The other day we went out to eat in a public, but of course, expensive resturaunt. A bunch of fans kept comming up to Mica and the rest of his family with pictures from magazines, mostly the pictures that were taken at the premier. They were kind enough to sign as many as possible and take pictures with their fan’s. I even had a few to come up to me with pictures of me and Mica at the premier with the pictures pointing out my engagement ring. I enjoyed it. It was a nice day compared to the all of the hectic day’s that we have been having.

  It’s been about two weeks since the decision was made to wait a couple of weeks before my transformation from mortal to immortal was to be done. Mica has decided that it would be a good time to go to the condo for a few day’s, (finally.) I really need some alone time with him, even if my guards will be there, Zeke, Nathan, and Malieke.

  “Mica, am I ever going to get turned?” I asked with a little impatients in my tone.

  “Of course Raven. You know we are just being percautious. Look Rave, you will be like me soon..., then everything will be perfect.” He was humored with my impatients to become like him. I think it made him happy, because he know’s that I have not changed my mind.

  “It’s been two weeks already. I could be like you right now if we didn’t have to wait. I dought that it will take two weeks, even though I don’t know really, I still don’t think that it will take that long.” I protested. “I’m ready now for thi......” My phone rang and interrupted me.

  I answered it. “Hello.”

  “Raven, don’t hang up. Just listen, please.” It was Lavon. “I don’t want to hurt you Raven. Regaurdless what those halfbreeds tell you. I love you Raven and I just want you back, that’s all I promise. I know where you are right now. You really need to stop running from me, I just want to talk to you right now. Please.” He pleaded with me.

  I glanced at Mica and then spoke to Lavon. “I’m not running from you. Why can’t you just understand that I don’t love you that way anymore, and tell me why should I believe anything you say the way you have been acting?”

  “I am telling you the truth. I don’t want.....,” I didn’t get to hear the rest of his answer. Mica had the phone in an instant, even before I knew that he had the phone.

  “Listen to me Lavon.” he demanded in a voice that sounded deadly. “Raven.. is.. mine, and only mine! Why don’t you get that? I know that you can sence my mark on her. I would seriously advise you to leave her alone!” He paused listening to his remarks to his words that he spoke. “You will never get your hands on her, I don’t care what you try and do. She will never want you! I am not scared to face you Lavon or your friends! “

  I stared at him intensely while he listened to Lavon’s argument on me. I could see that he was getting more angrier by the second, and when he spoke again..., his voice was enough to scare even me, and at the same time I seen his fangs come out. I knew whatever Lavon was saying to him was nothing good at all. I wish that I could hear what he was saying.

  “Do not bring Krystal in to this! I will not allow it!” He paused once more listening. And now more than ever I wish I knew what Lavon was saying to Mica.

  Just then as Lavon was speaking, and Mica was listening... I started to see these images in my head, like I was hearing what Lavon was saying, but it was like I was hearing it through these images. It seemed to me that he was telling Mica that he would have Krystal killed by the one named Zarious who had marked Krystal then turned her. He would do this unless Mica gave me up to him. I gasped both shocked and horrified. Mica looked up at me then.

  “Lavon, don’t call this phone again. Remember I will kill you if you try to come near her!” Then he snapped the phone shut.

  He put his hands on my face to look me in the eye’s to hold my eye’s to his. “Did I frighten you?” He asked me with pain in his eye’s, fearing that he had actually scared me. I realized then that he had no clue that I had heard or seen the images of what Lavon was saying in my head. But in truth I have never actually seen him this way. I have never seen his fangs before. I knew that he had them though. Even though we would get ourselves worked up in the bedroom and his emotions were strong, I still never once seen his fangs.

  “Not really.” I said trying to hide the truth. I raised my hand toward his mouth, where his fang’s were exposed. “I’ve never seen them before!” I said.

  He stopped my hand before it could reach his mouth. He looked away realizing that I could see them. When he looked back at me, they were once again hidden. He had retracted them.

  “I’m sorry Raven. I try not to get that upset, I don’t try to let you see me that way.”

  “Why don’t you want me to see who you really are?” I asked him. It confused me because I would soon be like him. I needed to see every part of him, to see all the sides of t
his life that hopefully I would soon be joining.

  “I think that you grasp what we really are, but for you to actually see...., well I am afraid that it will run you off. That you will decide that you don’t want to become what I am!” He sighed.

  “I’m not going to leave you Mica, and I won’t change my mind. All I ask from you is that you don’t lie to me and don’t hide anything from me, please!” I said trying to assure him. “C’mon. It is getting late, come lay down with me.”

  He smiled in responce, and took my hand and led the way to our room. I fell asleep quickly. The only dream that I had was seeing myself with black eye’s starring into the empty darkness that surrounded me.

  I woke up this morning to an empty bed. I got up and went to see where Mica was at. I searched the entire condo, but he wasn’t here! I picked up my phone to call him, but no one answered! I yelled for Zeke to come here.

  “Yes ma’am?” He asked as he approached me in the livingroom.

  “Have you seen Mica today?” I asked him. trying not to be harsh. It is not his fault that Mica is not here and that he did not leave a note or tell me where he was or even that he was leaving.

  “Ms. Mitchell. He left in the middle of the night, after you were asleep. He told us to keep a careful eye on you and to be aware that Lavon was in the neighborhood.”

  “Did he say where he was going?”

  “Sorry, but no ma’am, he didn’t.”

  “Thank you Zeke. You can go back to your post now. I am just going to go get dressed.” He nodded and left and I went back to the room to put on my clothes. When I was done I called Mica again. This time he answered.

  “Hello, Rave.” He said.

  “Where are you?” I demanded, angry at him. I was on the edge of loosing my temper.

  “Raven, look. I am sorry, but I have something to take care of. Don’t be mad.”

  “You could have at least let me know that you were leaving. I tried to call you earlier and you didn’t answer! And I am mad right now. When are you comming back? I think that we need to talk!”
