Dark Truth Read online

  “So, Raven. What’s the occasion at three in the morning. You look very nice by the way.” Still being a little sarcastic in the way she said her words.

  “Oh. Actually, mom we just got home. We were at the premier of the newest Dark Love movie. We went to the after party when that was over.” I said. “Speaking of, do you mind if I go change my clothes real quick?” I asked my mother.

  “Sure. I’ll be here.” She answered me, but she still looked suspicious for some reason.

  “Don’t worry Rave. You go change we’ll be fine.” Lila assured me.

  “C’mon Mica let’s go change.” I said tugging on his hand that was still twined in mine.

  Once we were upstairs in our room I started to relax. I started to undress so that I could put on my black silk pajama pants and my black silk button up shirt that went with the pants. I hung my newest dress in the closet with the rest of my newest clothes.

  “So what do you think that Lavon is up to Mica?” I asked

  “We’ll figure it out.” He said. He didn’t look worried, so I believed him. “But I can tell you that your mom and cousin are staying here.” He looked at me and smiled. I rolled my eye’s. He must think that my mother’s sarcasticness is funny for some reason. “I just heard mom ask them. Liza and Angelic are showing them to the second floor so they can unpack and get ready for bed, in the guest room.”

  He must have seen worry on my face and panick. He kissed my lips, “Don’t worry Rave. Everything will work out. I will change you as soon as possible, I won’t let you be upset while your mom is here, I’ll distract you from her remarks. We will figure out what Lavon is up to.” He pulled me closer to his shirtless perfectly sculpted muscular chest and starred into my eye’s and then leaned down and whispered, “I love you. Everything will be great as long as your with me. I promise.”

  “I believe you.” I said then stretched up to kiss his perfect lips again. He kissed me back fiercely then sat me on the bed. I could feel that he did not want to stop and neither did I for that matter.

  “I’m sorry.” He said as he pulld away from me. “I know that I can’t be with you just yet, but it is so hard, so tempting you are to me.” He smiled.

  “I know. I feel the exact same way.” I sighed. “You better get dressed so that we can get back downstairs, even if it is to only tell everyone good night.”

  Before he could speak his whole next sentence he was completely dressed. “Don’t forget Raven. We have to tell your mom that we are getting married. “He laughed lightly.

  “We’ll do that tomorrow.” I said sighing. He laughed quietly again at my irritaion at the way my mother was acting.

  We walked downstairs together hand in hand. I seen that my mom and Lila were waiting on me to come back down so that they could tell me good night. Me and Mica told them good night I hugged my mom and told her that we will talk in the morning. I watched as they went upstairs to go to bed.

  I told the rest of the family good night cause in truth I was very tired, then we went up to our room as well. I guess the rest of the family would go to they’re room’s so that my company would not suspect anything.

  I curled up beside Mica in our bed. He held me close to him as I fell asleep in his cold arms as I do every night. Tonight my dreams, started out dark instead of starting out good then turning dark. In this dream Lavon came to our house while my mom and Lila were here. He was comming for me once again. His eye’s black as coal. He looked at my mother and smiled and she noticed his change and she screamed. I could see that he was also wanting to out Mica and his family to my mother and my cousin. I was horrified. His friends were crouched ready to spring on his command, to attack and kill my family, their smiles were frighting with they’re fangs bared. As they were about to attack I woke up! My heart was racing, I was gasping trying to catch my breath. This time Mica was beside me.

  “What’s wrong Rave.” He asked cluthing me a little to tight.

  “Another dark dream.” I told him and trying to loosen his hold on me. I told him what my dream was about.

  “Do you want to go back to sleep?” He asked.

  “What time is it?”

  “It’s nine in the morning.”

  “I might as well get on up. I dought I could sleep now, But I would like to lay here beside you for a while. Have some peace before we go downstairs and tell my mom our news.”

  Once again he laughed quietly. “That’s fine.” He said. “Let me know when you are ready to get up.”

  “I will.” I hugged myself closer to him. It’s funny though. How his cold skin doesn’t bother me at all anymore. It’s like I am immune to the coldness of it. Not even a shiver comes from me while in his cold arms.

  After a few hours, I decided that it was time to get up. We both got up and showered and dressed. We went strait downstairs. He warned me that my mom was already up and might be getting a little impatient. I sighed. He stroked my face with his finger tips and smiled at me before we continued down the last few steps.

  “Hey you two. Finally decide to get up?” Ang said laughing.

  “Ha, ha.” I said playfully. “Be quiet Angelic.” I was just teasing back.

  “Raven!” My mom said displeased. “That wasn’t very nice!”

  “Mom I was just joking around.” This is going to get complicated. I can already see that.

  My mom just gave me a look, then I turned and gave Mica a look. He understood immediately.

  “Chelsy.” Mica said. “Would you like me to show you around?”

  “Yes. Thank you Mica, that is very kind of you.” My mom answered him.

  “That sounds great, I’d like to show Lila something. C’mon Lila.” I said pulling her up the stairs to our bedroom as Mica and my mom were exploring the downstairs. I was very grateful for Mica right now. He must love me.

  I opened the door to our room and showed Lila in.

  “You sleep here?” She asked me. “I mean this room is huge and beautifully coordinated.” She looked at me.

  “If you think that this is nice, you should see our closet.”

  “Show me.”

  I opened the door to our closet. I seen her eye’s open wide in disbelief. “You wasn’t exagerrating.” She said in amazement. “You have so much clothes. How do you find the time to wear them all?”

  “Easy, I always have somewhere to go or something to do.” I smiled.

  “You are seriously living the life Rave. I’m sorry that I ever doughted your feelings for Mica.”

  “No worries. I knew that something good had to come out of all my crazyness.”

  “Where does that door go to?” She asked.

  “That’s just our bathroom. It has a shower and a walk in tub.”

  “I swear it’s like you two have your own little apartment up here except for a kitchen.” She just kept looking around the room at everything that was in her line of sight.

  “Thanks, but honestly it would not be much of life without Mica. He is the only reason that I can enjoy any of this, he is my life and my world, and I would not have it any other way.”

  “I guess I can understand that. Your in love! But tell me something.”

  “What?” I asked.

  “Well how does he treat you, really?”

  “To put it truthfully..., he is the most sweetest, nicest man that I have ever known. He is protective of me, but not in a bad way. He has to be. You wouldn’t believe the paparrazi, they can be so annoying sometimes. I also know that he loves me, and that I am also his whole world.”

  “Wow!” That was all she said. All women dream of a man such as Mica, but he is only mine and I love him.

  “Oh! You will never believe it Lila. Look at this.” I held my hand out for her to see my engagement ring.

  “It’s beautiful. Wait did
he ask you to marry him?”

  “Yes, lastnight actually. Right before we left to go to the premier. I can’t wait to marry him.

  “It does seem that you have met the perfect man. I’m happy for you Rave. You really do deserve this.”

  “Thank you Lila. So how is you and your husband?”

  “Were doing really good. Were actually expecting. The doctor said the baby is due in five months.” Now that I really looked at her I could see the glow in her face that everyone talks about when someone is supposed to be pregnant.

  I smiled. “Congradulations, your having a baby!” I said excited for her.

  “Thank you. We are excited, we can’t wait. We won’t know the gender of the baby until one month from now when I go back to see the doctor. He plans to have an ultrasound done.”

  “Well look, Lila. When you find out the gender and when you decide to have a baby shower, let me know. I would love to go baby shopping. I’ll get what ever you need. Just let me know, okay.”

  “Thank you. I will, I’ll call you and let you know.”

  “No problem, but we better get downstairs before mom thinks I’m being rude.” I rolled my eye’s. Mom can be like that, sometimes. I know she means well, but sometimes she goes overboard.

  “Yeah, let’s go.”

  As we got downstairs, mom was on the sofa talking to Heaven. They seemed to be getting along pretty good. Mica was waiting for me at the bottom of the stairs. He told me that he went ahead and told my mom that we were getting married. That’s what her and Heaven are talking about now. Lila went and sat down with mom and joined the conversation.

  “You know Raven, we should really set a date for the wedding.” He said leaning against the bottom rail to the stairs.

  “Well is their a certain date that you perfer?” I asked Mica, and pulling myself closer to him.

  “If it was up to me, I would say let’s go right now, but I want you to have the best wedding that anyone has ever had. So whatever date you choose I’ll agree.” He smiled at me and put one of his hands on my face and kissed me. I swear that I love this man, he really is the best.

  “Of course.” I said. “I’ll think about a good date and then I will let you know.”

  “Okay.” He said still smiling.

  We walked over to the loveseat and sat down and talked to my mom and Lila and Heaven for a while. Angelic and the rest went out somewhere. My mom seems to be excited about me and Mica getting married, but she still has this suspicious look on her face sometimes. Like she suspects something more going on than what really is. Which in truth their is, but.... I don’t know. I guess mabe it might be nothing. Who know’s.

  Mom wants to help plan the wedding , but first I have to decide on a date. It is the end of October now, so I’m concidering June, but I’m still undecided.

  A few hours later Angelic and the rest returned home. Angelic brought up that mabe it would be a good idea for my mom and her mom to go out and look around at wedding things, try and get an idea of what they would like to get for the wedding and things of that sort. Come to find out she was feeling my tension and feeling Mica’s desire to be alone with me for a while. She was giving us some time to go to the condo without my mom thinking that we were being rude. Even though I am an adult my mom still looked annoyed everytime that me and Mica touched in even the most simplest of way’s. I was starting to get annoyed by it. For some reason I don’t think my mom trust’s Mica too much. But I don’t have a clue to why that is.

  Lila stayed at the house with Ang. and Liza and the rest, but I got the feeling that they would get to be good friends. Me and Mica arrived at the condo and I could feel the tension wearing off.

  “It feels good when we get to be alone.” I said to Mica as we went and sat down on the sofa.

  “I agree.” He said. “Angelic told me that she felt your mom getting a little tense everytime that we touched the slightest.”

  “I had a feeling of that. She probably thinks it rude in front of people, but she doesn’t know the magnitude of our love. She alway’s used to tell me that it wasn’t lady like to kiss and hang all over someone in front of people. She doesn’t think it is appropriate to begin with. That no one should have the need to touch that much, but she has never been the lovey dovey kind of person.”

  “I like your mother Raven. Really I do. I just wish she could see that you are not twelve anymore. I think that she still see’s you as a child, But other than that I think that she is nice. I’m sure that we will get along fine.” He said and smiled.

  “Well I’m glad you like her, because she is about to be your mother in law.” I smiled sarcastically. He smiled back and leaned down to kiss me.

  “I can never get enough of kissing you Rave.”

  “I can see that, but...., I don’t mind.”

  That conversation ended for a while. I hate that we can’t do anything more than get ourselves worked up, but that is my life for now. At least until I get turned, which I hope is soon.

  After we were breathless and he thought that we should calm down before things go to far..., we sat up and starting watching a movie. As he held me in his arms, I thought about dates for the wedding. June would be great, but I think I would like to have a winter wedding. Close to christmas. The colors would be silver and white like a crystal snowflake in the winter when the snow is falling to the earth. I want to hear Mica’s oppinion though.

  I looked up at Mica’s face and noticed that he was not watching the movie either. He had his eye’s on me. “I’ve been thinking about the date for our wedding.” I told him. “What do you think about a winter wedding? Close to christmas. I would like the colors to be silver and white.”

  “I think that it sounds great. Besides I love the color silver, which you know that part. I told you, you can have anything for your wedding just let me know. I want the best for you.”

  “Thanks. But can I ask you why those are the colors you perfer for me? Rather if it is the color I wear or whatever the reason.”

  “Of course. I have been in your fantacy’s and in your dreams. I know how much you loved and still love to look into my eye’s. How you love the color of them, how I am able to hold you in my eye’s to mezmorize you with them.” He sighed and smiled down at me. “Plus I love the color silver and black. The color fits us both well.”

  “I guess that I can agree with that reason. I do love your eye’s and their color.”

  He laughed quietly at that, and held me closer.

  His phone started to ring before either one of us could say anything else on the subject of that or any other.

  “That’s Liza calling.” He said then sighed a little irritated that are time was being interrupted.

  “What is it Liza?” He said answering the phone. “Where will we be filming at?” He asked paying more attention to what she was saying. I wish I could hear what she was saying. “Paris! We’ll have to get a house there of course, if that’s where we will be filming at the whole time.” He paused listening to her response. I assumed. “When will we leave, and how long will this movie take to film?” He waited for her answer. “Okay. Thanks Liza, I’ll talk to you guy’s later.” He said then hung up the phone and looked over at me. He must have realized what I would think his leaving would mean.

  “We have to leave in March to go to Paris to start filming the last Dark Love movie. But don’t worry.” He touched a hand to my face. “You’ll come with us.” He smiled. “I don’t think that I could be away from you for even a month. I would go insane just thinking about it.”

  “I would too! I’m glad we won’t have to leave before the wedding. I would like to be married to you and have our honeymoon first and of course get changed.” I guess the fact of the honeymoon put him back in the mood to tease himself. He didn’t speak he just picked me up and took me to our room. We only stopped tea
sing ourselves for a second so he could call and tell them that we would be back in the morning then we continued to have our own type of celebration.

  I hope that don’t make my mom mad, I do love her, but at the moment I.m trying to enjoy my new life with the man that I love and that is hard to do while she is there in front of me watching my every move, and watching Mica with, for some reason, distrust.

  Chapter Fifteen

  Another Secret!!!!

  The night passed quickly, even before I fell asleep. I wish I didn’t have to sleep at night, but I’m still mortal. I know my change will happen soon. I’m just getting impatient. I woke up this morning laying across Mica’s bare cold chest, still wondering why the coldness of his body does not bother me.

  “I had fun last night.” I said looking up to meet his gaze that mezmorized me. “I wish that we could have went further though.”

  He laughed silently. “Yes. Me too.” He said. “But imagine...., after I get to finally turn you and then our honeymoon, it will be incredible! I will give you everything that day and that night. Our love will shine brighter than the sun in the middle of summer when it is shinning over head at it’s hottest temperature.”

  “I can’t wait for that time in my life Mica. It will be perfect. You are all I need and I am all you need forever!”

  He leaned in and touched his beautiful pale red lips to mine. “I love the sound of forever with you Rave!” I could hear the smile in his voice.

  I decided that it was time for us to get up and eat so that we could back to the house before my mom and Mica’s mom started to get mad at us for being gone so long while we had company. I’m sure that mom is already irritated, for the fact that we left in the first place.

  When we made it back to the house and walked in, we could tell that something was wrong. I could feel the tension in the air. I wonder why that is. Why I can feel things like that. Like I have a sixth sence or something. I didn’t see my mom or Lila in the room and it made me wonder what was really going on.

  “Were glad you two finally made it!” Heaven said sounding frustrated. “We should go outside and talk.” She motioned us to the back door, and we followed.
