  “I’m glad you liked it Raven.” She said. “You know, we had a lot of fun making this one.” She spoke sarcastically to me, trying to get a bad reaction from me, but I didn’t give her the satisfaction.

  “It’s alway’s good to have fun while you work.” I said. “It makes it easier to do your job.” I smiled. I had the satisfaction of seeing her get mad, but she recovered quickly.

  She looked over to Mica then. “So are you guy’s going to the after party now?” She asked.

  “Why wouldn’t we be going?” He asked her smiling smugly.

  “I don’t know. I just figured that mabe Raven would feel out of place being around other stars, since she is after all just an ordinary person. Well I guess I’ll see you there then.” She smiled evilly then her and her date walked out.

  We got up and walked behind his brother’s out to the limo. Once we were in the limo Mica wrapped his arms around me.

  “Don’t worry about her.” He told me. “She’s just jealous,because I love you and not her, and their is no one that could ever take your place Raven, promise. You are the only one that I will ever love.” He stared me directly in the eye’s, making sure that I truely believed him. And of course I did.

  “I’m not letting her get to me.”I said. “She is just an annoying person, someone that I tune out. I don’t listen to what she has to say, because everything she say’s is just nonsence.” I reached to kiss his lip’s. He seemed to be assured at my words. The kiss we shared was not quick.

  “I hope we don’t have to deal with this for the rest of the night.” Vincent said playfully. “Do we need to take you two home?” He laughed, and I heard the other’s quiet laugh also. I just smiled and rolled my eye’s at him.

  The party was already up and running when we got there. Their were lots of other movie stars there, but I’m getting used to being introduced to them and I don’t feel out of place at all. They were all very nice to me and they congradulated me and Mica. He was telling everyone that we were getting married.

  “Would you like to dance?” He asked me.

  It was not a slow song. “Sure, let’s dance.” I smiled nervously. In truth I was nervous. I’m still not used to dancing in front of other people.

  We went to the dance floor. I sucked it up and started to dance. The song that was playing only lasted about three minutes, then a slow song started to play and for that I was grateful.

  “You can really dance Rave.” Mica said to me as we started dancing to the slow song that was playing.

  “Seriously, you think that was good dancing.” I smiled, sorda embaressed.

  “Of course I wouldn’t lie to you.” He smiled.

  “Thank you. I actually learned how to dance when I was about fourteen years old. Before that I was alway’s out of beat.”

  “I can’t imagine that.”

  We were quiet for the rest of this song. He stared into my eye’s and held my eye’s with his. It has to be a vampire thing. His eye’s are so mezmorizing. I seen everything that I was looking for in life when I looked into his love filled eye’s. It don’t seem like life could get more perfect for me than it already is. I will be getting married to the most sweetest man in the world, someone who truely cares for me.

  I smiled at him. He bent down and kissed me. It was wonderful, but if he don’t stop kissing me like this we may have to leave. It is just way to good.

  When the song was over we went to go sit with his family. We were all enjoying ourselves, until Angelic happened to look over and see Krystal with the same guy that was at the premier with her, plus Lavon and the other’s were there.

  “Seriously! What the hell is she doing here with them?” She asked retorically.

  “I don’t know, but we don’t need this kind of trouble. Especially while we are out in the public’s eye, with all of the press and everyone here.” Carter answered her retoric question.

  “Does she even know what they really are?” I asked.

  “From what I can feel, she doesn’t have the slightest idea. She has know clue what she has done got herself into, while she is trying to make Mica jealous, which of course will never happen.” Angelic finished quickly. Their was a disturbed look on her face for a second and then quickly her expression changed. It made me wonder what her words really meant.

  “Well shouldn’t we do something?” I asked.

  “Honestly Raven. From the vibes I’m getting from her date, it is to late.”

  “What do you mean too late?” I asked with an edge to my words.

  She sighed. “Her date has marked her. He is going to change her soon. She will become his and she will be a daywalker. He wants her and so he will get her.”

  I looked at Mica and his expression looked pained for some reason, more than it should anyway. “I know that she might be annoying and selfish, but honestly I feel bad. She don’t deserve this, regaurdless. I wish that we could do something. No one should get they’re life taken that way. Not unless that it is what that person really wants.”

  “But.” Mica said finally commenting on the situation. “Their is nothing we can do to help. This is just a part of our world, where their are true monsters among us. One’s that are worse than what we are, that would take a life that way and not care. So as long as he or she get’s what they desire the most and, in this case he want’s her.”

  We were silent for a moment. I watched as Lavon kept glarring over at me, then looking at his friend smiling while his friend stared at Krystal, and making me believe what Mica said to me was nothing but the truth. The way that her date looked at her made me think that it was going to be more sooner than later.

  We stayed a few hours more. I pushed Krystal’s fate to the back of my mind and told Mica that I don’t want to think about it right now, that I just wanted to continue to have a good time, but that I did want to talk about somethings concering that subject later. He agreed with me, and that’s what we did. Besides the stares from Lavon, we had a pretty good time. Finally it was time for us to leave. I’m still human and I have to sleep. Which reminded me of My enemies fate. I hated the future of Krystal’s, but from what I was told, their is nothing that any of us or any one else can do about it. She has been marked and will soon be changed and be with the one who claimed her as his and she wont have a choice in the matter. She won’t even know what’s going on until it is done and over with and then it will be too late for her.

  We’re now on our way home. “What’s wrong Raven?” Mica asked seeming to be worried.

  “Beside that knowing what is about to happen to Krystal. I’m wondering what I will be like. You know, afterwards, after you turn me.” I looked him dead in the face as I spoke to him.

  He took his cold hand and gently stroked my face with his finger tips. “Well for Krystal it is ashame, but like I said it is just how this life is, how it can be for the unfortunate. But I think that you will be the same as you are now, except that you won’t be alive in the litteral sence of things, and the fact that you will be stronger and faster and all of the other extra abilities that you will have and also at first the craving that you will have for blood. But that will pass after so long and it won’t bother you. Then their will be the fact that you will have silver eye’s and fangs to come out when your emotions are very stong, no matter what emotion it is.” He smiled a little at the last part.

  That reminded me of when I seen Angelic drinking blood, and I wondered if he was telling me the honest truth about the not wanting blood after so long, because it sure looked like she was enjoying it. Well it’s really not my buisness what she does, I guess. I still love her and all the rest the same.

  Their was something else that I wanted to say to him, but I would wait until we were alone or as alone as we could be, what with all of the sensitive hearing that will be around us.

  Once we pulled into the
drive way and everyone started to get out I asked Mica if we could talk in the car for a few minutes or so before we went in the house with the rest. He thought that that would be fine.

  I’d thought about alot of things during the silence on our way home. Their were somethings that I decided on that I thought that he should know considering it has to do with him and me both.

  “What did you want to talk about?” He asked after everyone was a good distance away and in the house. He must have realized that I wanted to try and have a somewhat private conversation with him.

  “Well I have thought about what you asked me earlier before we left for the premier, and I wanted to answer it since I didn’t get to then.” I took in a deep breath then let it out slowly. “I decided that I do want you to turn me tonight, right now if possible. Mica I love you and I really do want to be with you for the rest of eternity, for however long the earth should still be here. You are also the only one that I ever want to be with or can be with. You are my soul mate, even if you don’t have a soul. I believe that we are meant to be together.” I looked deep into his eye’s and waited to hear his thought on the subject. I hoped that for some reason that he had not changed his mind. Worry started to saturate on my face before he finally responded to me. It scared me.

  “And you are very sure, no doughts in your mind? You want to be changed tonight, right now?”

  “Of course.” I answered. “You are where I belong. Their is no dought in my mind. I want to live with you to be with you and belong to you for as long as the earth stands. Seriously!”

  He smiled. “Raven Mitchell, you have just made me the happiest creature in the world.” He fiercly pulled my face to his and kissed me with much enthusiasm as he had and it was alot. For a moment I didn’t think that we were going to make it back into the house. His hands were all over me, he even laid me fiercly back in the backseat of the limo. I thought it was about to happen right there. But then after about, I would say twenty minutes, he pulled away and smiled. He stepped out of the limo pulling me with him.

  “I need to tell my father. We have to prepare.” Then in a quick movement I was cradled in his arms and it felt like we were flying at the speed he traveled from the car to inside of the house, and I smiled the whole way just as happy as he was.

  Chapter Fourteen

  Interrupted

  In the house, Mica’s family gathered in the livingroom. Angelic smiled at me. I’m guessing that she felt my mood, which is kind of embaressing. I’m having more than one type of feeling at the moment, one do to when Mica and I were in the limo, and the other nervous as I don’t know what, but happy at the same time because I was about to get what my heart truely desired..., Mica forever.

  “Dad.” Mica spoke. “Raven has just agreed to me turning her tonight. Right now. So I think we should prepare.” He smiled with so much excitement as he spoke to his father. I loved to see that I was making him so happy.

  Charles looked at me. “Since you have decided Raven, their is somethings that you must know first.” He looked very seriously at me now. It almost had me worried about what I was about to hear.

  “What do I need to know?” I asked. “I thought that I knew everything.” I looked around at everyone trying to desipher their now worried expressions.

  Angelic answered my question. “Raven, honestly.... we may have to strap you down or hold you down one. This is only one of the many things that you need to know.”

  “Why would I have to be held down or whatever?” I asked trying not to sound anxious.

  Mica answered this time. He pulled my face towards his and spoke quietly and in a gentle way. “Something that I did not tell you Raven, about when I bite you. It will be extremely painful and we don’t know what your reaction will be from the pain, you may try to fight me off, but you could only get yourself hurt in the process and another thing, where I bite you it will scarr.”

  I just looked at him and wondered if I could handle that type of pain, then decided that may be in my best intrest if I am restrained. “I can understand that.” I said. “Tell me though, what else do I need to know?”

  “Well when the change begins, you will be in complete blackness, but we are sure that you will still be aware of the pain, mostly. The pain is unbareable, but their will be nothing that you can do about it until it stops. As of our expierences were about the same, we feel that yours will also. The pain will not stop until you eventually......,die. I guess thats what you can say. It will be many day’s before you wake up to your new life. That is the part that was mainly different for us. We were all out for different amounts of time, but we do not know what the reason is for that.” Mica spoke these words very seriously and conserning to me. He looked worried. I could tell that the idea of the pain was not his favorite thing about this, he must have been remembering his own change.

  “Well as bad as I’m scared of this, it still doen’t change my mind. I am giving myself to you Mica. I told you that I love you and I know that we belong together and I will not change my mind.” Then I half smiled at him in encouragement. He returned the smile, but I could tell that he is still worried. “So is their anything else that I need to know?”

  “I think that is all you need to know for now. We may need to talk after your change to explain a few things to you, but it mainly will be about your new life. We’ll see how everything goes.” Charles said to me.

  “So then are we ready now.” I asked. The unknown is a very scary thing. I know that they tell me what will mostly happen, but the thought that I have to die.....,it makes me wonder if I will wake up and be like Mica or if I will stay to the dead. I’ll just have to push my fears away for I have made my decision, scared or not.

  “Yes.” Mica said to me. “And I think that it will be best, if you are strapped down than to be held down. I would much rather do this while no one is watching. I don’t plan to do it in a place to where your scarr can be seen.” He smiled slightly and I looked over to see Angelic and the other’s trying not to smile. I blushed deeply embaressed.

  Charles went upstairs to set things up for my change, while I waited happy, but nervously downstairs with everyone else, who were very excited about me comming into they’re life with all of them. None of them seemed the least bit worried really, but their was still some type of emotion playing across Mica’s face and I am unsure of what it is exactly. It looks like worry somewhat, but I can’t be sure.

  “Everything is ready......,” Charles started saying as he walked in the room, only to be interrupted by a knock on the door.

  “Who on earth could that be?” I asked. “It’s after three in the morning!”

  My heart fell at the sound of the knock. I am so ready for this to be done, to be able to safely be with the person I love and now someone is interrupting me comming into my new life. It really irritates me.

  “It’s your mom and your cousin!” Mica answered me.

  “Why are they here?” I asked myself. “How do they even know where we live?”

  Angelic looked at me puzzled. “You never told either of them when you talk to them on the phone?”

  “No. Of course I never told them. I wasn’t planning them comming to visit here, I was planning on visiting them.” I sighed. “I guess I’ll get the door. I’m sure nothing will be happening tonight.” I said glumly.

  Mica grabbed hold of me as I was turning to the door, and pulled me to him. “Raven it will happen soon. I promise, just promise me that you won’t change your mind between now and then.” He starred into my eye’s as he spoke those words.

  “I won’t.” I whispered back to him. Then he let me go so I could open the door for my mom and Lila. Everyone else went to sit down. I put on my happy face and opened the door. “Mom, Lila!” I said enthusiasticly. “Hey it’s good to see you guy’s...., but how did you know where I was living?” I asked innocently.

 
“It’s strange actually.” My mom said. “Lavon called and said that he was in New York and that you were in some kind of trouble.”

  “He did what!” I almost yelled, then quickly composed myself. “I’m sorry come on in guy’s.” I motioned for them to come into the house while I glanced at Mica. “I just can’t believe that he done that. As you can see I’m fine. I’m not in any trouble at all.”

  “Well why is he here anyway’s, and how does he know where you live?” Lila asked.

  “He’s here because he thinks I’m gonna go back home with him. I’m not of course. I’m really not sure how he found out where I lived.” I stated. “But anyway’s I’m being rude, let me introduce you to everyone.” I said looking toward my newest family. “That is Heaven and Charles, Mica’s mother and father.”

  “Hello Chelsy, Lila. It’s nice to meet you.” They both said smiling.

  “That is Angelic and her husband Carter. Angelic is Mica’s sister, which you have already met Lila.”

  “Nice to meet you.” Carter spoke with Angelic.

  “And that is Liza and Vincent.” I said pointing at both of them sitting on the love seat. “Vincent is Mica’s brother and Liza is vincent’s wife.” I noted.

  “It’s a pleasure to meet you.” Liza said.

  My mom told them all hello and that it was a pleasure to finally meet them. Then Mica walked over and introduced himself and shook my mother’s hand. It seemed like she didn’t even notice how his hands were cold.

  “So your Mica?” My mom said. “I’m glad to meet the man that my daughter is in love with.” I could see in her eye’s that she was being a little sarcastic. It’s not like I didn’t intend on introducing her, I’ve just been a little preoccupied.

  He smiled and took my hand in his. “Would you like to sit down?” He asked pointing toward the sofa.

  “Sure.” Lila said pulling my mom by the arm with her, while my mom eyed Mica suspiciously.
