  “We’ll see. Like I said before, I won’t leave here without you. I will find away.” He was backing away to his car now and eyeing us, then he got in his car and left.

  We all went inside the house after that. I could feel the relief as I walked in. I took in a deep breath and sighed. My guard Nathan felt that it would be best if he stayed outside by the door incase he decided to come back.

  “Where have you been Raven?” Angelic asked me.

  “Mica called me and wanted me to go out and find something new to wear for when he got back. “I smiled at her kind of embaressed remembering what I actually bought to wear for him, the one I would wear for him in the bedroom anyway. “Which I would like to ask your opinion on when you get the chance.” I added.

  She smiled in return, but kind of puzzled at the turn of my mood from just a second ago. “Well let’s go upstairs and you can show me and I will give you my honest opinion. I dought that Lavon will be comming back any time soon.”

  We headed up the stairs with Zeke following behind us. He stopped right outside my door. Me and Angelic walked on in and I shut the door behind us.

  “I’m glad they take they’re job so seriously.” I said to Angelic.

  “That’s they’re job, to protect. No mistakes aloud, that is what they are being paid for.” She said. “Well enough chatter, show me what you bought.”

  “Well I bought two different things. First I’ll show you the outfit.” I pulled the clothes out of the bag that I was still carrying.

  “I approve.” She said. “Is he looking to take you some where casual?” She asked.

  “Yes that is what he told me.” I paused looking down, surely I was blushing at showing her the langerie that I bought, but I needed her opinion especially on this one.

  “Okay. Let’s see the second.” She said.

  “I have to warn you. It is kind of embaressing, but I got this to try and move to the next stage with Mica. The part that for some reason he seems to be so sensitive about, but won’t tell me why.”

  “Let’s see it.” She said encouraging me.

  I sighed then pulled it out of the bag. She Looked at it for a moment Then looked back at me.

  “Raven I believe that he is absolutly going to love the second one. I believe he wouold take you without even thinking first. You are going to look like a knock out when you where this for him. “She seemed as though she was telling me the truth so I didn’t feel so uneasy about it that much anymore, just mabe a little nervous.

  “Let me ask you this Angelic mabe you could shed some light for me. Why is he so sensitive on the physical part of our relationship? He really won’t go no further than holding me and kissing me, not that, that is a bad thing I just would really like to know why. To make sure that I am not over stepping some boundary.”

  “I can tell you this Raven. He has a good reason for it and he is surlely to explain it to you when he see’s you in that. He will be so tempted that he won’t have another choice but to tell you.”

  “Thanks Angelic. You really are a great sister to me even though were not really related, you treat me like I am. I appreciate it.”

  “No problem. You are a sister to me related or not. You are very good for my brother. Now let’s get back down stairs. I’m hungary.” She chuckled lightly. We walked back down the stairs to where Vincent was sitting in the living room on the couch looking like he was deep in thought about something.

  “So, Vincent.” I asked. “Do we have any idea how Lavon found out where we lived?”

  “That’s what I ‘ve been thinking about. Racking my brain trying to figure out how he was able to figure it out.” He paused and looked at me. “So this is the guy that you were with before you came here with Mica? What did you see in him?” He looked at me like he was really confused with his face all twisted with confusion.

  “Yes that was him. He didn’t used be that way, he used to be a little nicer.” I grimaced. Then said. “I still wish he hadn’t figured out where I was. “I sighed.

  “Well at least we know that he’s here in New York. We won’t be aloud to let her out by herself, she’ll at least half to be with one of us or her guards.” Angelic said to the both of us.

  “What else is new.” I sighed. “I figure Mica will hear about this and will not want to let me out of his sight.”

  “You’ve got that right, he is pretty protective of you, for one, because you have left him before and he is not about to let that happen again. He loves you to much for that.”

  “I know your right Angelic, but at least I guess we’ll be together more hopefully.”

  Angelic just laughed and Vincent Chuckled under his breath. We hung around the house just talking and trying to figure things out. We fixed and ate dinner, watched tv and tried to find other things to pass away the time-- I did at least. Finally I decided to go upstairs around eleven o’clock, to got to bed, I was pretty tired, so I fell asleep almost as soon as I laid down on our comfortable bed.

  I dreamed tonight. It was another dark dream. My dream is of Lavon, except for he didn’t look like himself. He had coal black eye’s. Him and four other guy’s had come for me. All of they’re eye’s were black as coal. His friends seemed to want to kill my new family for another reason besides me, but I’m not sure what that reason is.

  Lavon had gotten his hands around my throat. I glared at him as he was chocking the life out of me. I could see his features changing to something evil. One moment a normal human face the next a face of a monster. Before he had the chance to kill me I was awaken by someone’s cool touch.

  I gasped and started to scream as I woke up, but I stopped seeing that it was just a dream, I realized that it was morning then consciencely looked over to see that Mica was their. His cool hands were the one’s to wake me.

  “Mica!” I exclaimed. “Your home!” I threw my arms around him with relief that he was here.

  “Yes.” he chuckled quietly. “I’m sorry if I woke you, but you seemed to be having some kind of nightmare. Are you okay?” He asked sincere.

  “I am now. Now that your here with me?” He pulled me tighter to him and then kissed me suddenly.

  “I missed you.” He said breathlesss.

  “I missed you even more.” I said back to him. I looked at him and the largest smile spread across his face, but then it faded a little as if he had just thought of something not to good. “What’s wrong Mica?” I asked starring into his beautiful silver eye’s.

  “Nothing really.” He told me. “It’s just that you said that somethings had crossed your mind and that we needed to talk.” He hesitated looking down now at our hands that were intertwined together. “So, would you like to tell me what had crossed your mind?” For some reason he looked a little worried, with his brows pushing together.

  “I do want to tell you, but for right now I would rather you just hold me. I had a dark day yesterday and just woke up from one of my darkest dreams yet. We can discuss it later. I just need to be right here with you, in your arms. Okay?”

  “That’s fine, we can talk later, but Vincent did tell me what happened yesterday. I’m just glad they were here and don’t worry I will find out how he knew where we live.” He promised.

  “Thanks Mica.”

  “Anything for you. I love you and I will do anything in my power to keep you safe.” He reassured me then kissed my forhead as we now layed there in the bed while he held me in his arms.

  I must have fallen asleep in his arms and free of all dreams together. When I woke up half of the day had passed. It was two in the evening, I must not have slept very well last night to be so tired today.

  “Do you feel more rested?” Mica asked as soon as my eye’s were open.

  “Yes, I feel alot more rested. Thank you for staying with me while I slept.”

  “Your welco
me,” he smiled “but mabe you should get up and get dressed so we can get downstairs. You have to be hungry.”

  “I am actually. Why don’t you go on downstairs and I’ll see you down there when I’m done getting dressed.”

  “Sure Raven. I’ll see you down there.” He said before he kissed my lips. “I’ll fix you something to eat while your getting dressed.”

  “Thanks.” I said then he left the room.

  I got up and put my clothes on, the outfit that I bought yesterday. I fixed my hair as quickly as I could, putting a little curl in it with my curlingiron. Then I put a little makeup on and headed down the stairs it didn’t take to long for me to get done.

  When I got downstairs their didn’t seem to be as much tension in the air as the last time, but still they didn’t seem to be theirselves.

  “Hey guy’s.” I said.

  “You finally awake?” Liza asked laughing silently. “I thought we were going to have to be quiet all day.” She laughed again.

  “Very funny.” I said sarcastically, but playful.

  “Mica is waiting on you in the kitchen Raven.” Heaven told me smiling. “He just got done fixing your food.”

  “Thanks Heaven.” I said. They all stared at me as I walked into the kitchen. It made me feel self conscience, but I tried to shrugg off the feeling as I walked through the door of the kitchen. Right away mica was at my side with his arms around my waist, holding me close.

  “Raven, before we talk later, I need to ask you something, and you need to think before you answer.” He said still holding me close to his chest.

  “Sure, ask me anything.” I said sounding a little worried. I’m still not sure what is entirely going on.

  “Do you honestly see yourself being with me and never leaving? I mean is that what you want, to be with me forever.... no matter what?”

  “Why do think that I would have to think about that? Mica I know that I will alway’s want you forever, no matter what. I promise you that.” My brows pushed down and I was starting to become very confused at his question.

  “Please, just think about it. You can tell me tonight or later. After you are seriously definate about it. Just think things through. Okay?”

  “Okay, I’ll think about it, seriously, but while I’m thinking can I eat?” I asked smiling, trying to lighten the mood a little so I wouldn’t seem so worried about what he was asking of me.

  “Right. Sorry.” He pulled me over to the table and pulled out my chair for me. He brought my plate to me and sat the food down in front of me. “Since it’s not quite dinner time, I fixed you a turkey, ham, salami deli sandwich, with cheese, lettuce and mayonaise and tomato.”

  “Thanks, it looks great, I’m starving.” I smiled at him, but at the same time bothered by his question.

  He returned the smile. “I’ll be in the livingroom if you need me. I’m going to talk to the other’s about some things.”

  “Okay.”

  “Join me when your done.”

  “I will Mica.”

  While I was eating I could hear the whispers comming from the livingroom. I couldn’t quite make out what they were saying, but it was obvious that I wasn’t supposed to hear. I tried to slow my eating until they were done, but I still finished before they were done talking. I went ahead to get me some water then made my way into the livingroom.

  Before I could make it in there, Angelic was right in front of me. Like she was blocking my way or something. I swear sometimes it seems like they can hear every little move that I make. It’s kind of creepy in a way.

  “Hey Rave.” Angelic said standing in my way.

  “Hey.” I said back to her surely looking a little irritated of why she seem’s to be blocking me. “Is everything okay?”

  “Yes. Why?” She asked a little to cheerful.

  “Umm, not to be rude, but your standing directly in front of me like I’m not supposed to go into the next room or something.”

  “Oh! Sorry. I was just comming to chat and to see if Mica liked your outfit that your wearing.”

  “Oh, umm... actually he hasn’t said anything about it. He seem’s a little distracted by something else entirely.”

  “Don’t worry though I’m sure that he will. Like you said he really does have alot on his mind at the moment.” She paused. “Oh, another thing Rave, make sure that you wear the other one tonight. I know he will definately love that one.” She said giggling to herself. I blushed with embaressment.

  “Yeah, sure Angelic. I’ll be sure to do that.” I smiled, ducking my head.

  “Well come on. Let’s get in the livingroom. Mica is waiting on you. I swear he is so rediculously crazy about you. I’m not used to seeing him this way, but it’s nice. Raven I am so glad that you stopped being so stubburn and came here to New York with him, you really make life alot more interesting.” She said smiling at me.

  “Thanks Angelic, and I’m glad that I’m here with all of you. I finally feel like I have a purpose in life since I have been here. My life has meaning now.” I sighed and frowned. “If only Lavon would leave me alone, then it would be completely perfect.”

  “Don’t worry Raven, he will not get to you. Mica will not allow it. Believe me, and never will any of the rest of us. You are family now Raven, your my sister and Liza’s, you are Vincent and Carter’s sister, Charles’s daughter, and Heaven’s daughter. Family.” She took me by the arm smiling and we walked in the livingroom with me feeling better, with just us talking.

  Chapter Eleven

  The Secret’s

  The rest of the day passed pretty quickly. I decided that I would wait until tonight to tell Mica that I would alway’s want him no matter what. He is the best thing that has happened to me in years and I am not going to walk away from him. I love him and their is a connection between us, I can still feel that. I’ts like we are meant to be, like we were made only for each other and no one else.

  I will wear the deep dark silver langerie that I bought to wear for him tonight. I chose the dark silver, because it matches the color of his beautiful eye’s that I love so much, that I love to stare into every chance I get. The langerie that I bought is somewhat revealing, but not to bad, it is just enough to show what needs to be seen, for me to look seductive. Which is what I am trying to do. I hope that I don’t embaress myself and everything goes smoothly. I love him and I want to spend the rest of my life with him. I feel like that it is time for us to be able to show our love to each other, together.

  “Alright guy’s.” I said. “I think I’m gonna head to bed now. I’ll see everyone in the morning.” I tried to make myself look really tired, but it was hard to do when Angelic is starring at me smiling, because she is in on what is going on with me tonight, what I am trying to do. “Are you comming to bed soon, Mica?” I asked.

  “Yeah, I’ll be up in just a few.” He said and threw me a quick smile, but I could see that he is worried about something still.

  I acted like I didn’t notice it though. “Okay, I’ll see you when you come up then.” I told him and I threw a quick glance at her with a pleading look to make sure he comes up sooner than later. She nodded understanding. Then I turned to walk up stairs.

  Once in our room, I went into the bathroom to change into my langerie. After that, I went and turned the CD player on low. I put a romantic CD in to play, then went to lay on our bed. I got under the black and silver comforter that made up our bed. That’s another reason for me picking this color of silver because he seem’s to love the color silver and black.

  It seemed like I waited forever before Mica decided to come to bed. I was starting to get impatient right before he walked through the door. I was trying not to fall asleep, I barely made it. I was almost to that point also when he walked through our bedroom door.

  “It’s about time that you decided to come to bed.
” I said trying not to sound annoyed with him, which was kind of hard to do. In truth I am a little annoyed that it took him so long to come up.

  “Sorry love. I was talking to Vincent about something.” He paused smiling at me. “So, why the music tonight?” He asked.

  “I guess that you could say that I am just in the mood.” I exaggerated the word mood to try and hint at him, what I was up to.

  He dressed down for bed, he sleeps in his boxer’s which is fine by me, cause I get to wrap my arms around his bare chest while I sleep. He climbed into bed and I turned over to face him.

  “I have my answer to your question from earlier.” I told him.

  “And what have you decided?” He asked.

  “Well I decided that, I will alway’s want you and love you forever no matter what. I’m not really sure if you realize how much I do love you. It’s more than words can say. I am very serious.”

  “And you are sure, no matter what?”

  “Yes, no matter what Mica.”

  “So then your ready to talk?”

  “I am..., but first I would like to ask you something.”

  “Sure go ahead.”

  “Well, tell me what you think of what I’m wearing tonight.” I pulled down the cover’s and smiled and blushed at the same time. I had the satisfaction of seeing his eye’s open wide with pleasure. It looked like to me anyway.

  “Wow.....,Raven I’m not sure what to say! I mean you look..... “He trailed off starring at my body then looking up to my face gazing into my eye’s before he suddenly covered his mouth with his hand. “I’ll be right back.” He mumbled from under his hand, and he headed to our bathroom. It confused me. Did I make him sick. I turned over in the bed and closed my eye’s hoping that I could fall asleep before he came back to get in bed. It hurt.

  I felt him climb into the bed behind me. He wrapped his arm around me and kissed me just underneath my ear on my throat. “I am sorry about my reaction. You look so tempting that I had a hard time controlling myself. I had to walk to the other room. Raven this is one of the reason’s that we have to talk. We can’t be physical just yet.”
